Margaret
Donaldson, ASID
Principal Designer |
Margaret Donaldson has
been designing in the Charleston for the past two decades. She has
become known regionally for her ability to create spaces that are
not only sophisticated but livable and suited to her clients’
personalities and lifestyles.
During her career, Donaldson
has served as a board member of the Preservation Society of Charleston
and held various leadership positions with the American Society
of Interior Design (ASID). The interior design industry has recognized
Donaldson’s creative and professional accomplishments with
numerous industry awards. Sandow Publishing featured Margaret Donaldson
as the South Carolina interior designer in its publication, Leading
Interior Designers, part of The Perfect Home series.
In the past, Donaldson
has been actively involved in the ASID Designer Show House, which
benefits the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Her work on the renovation
of an historic kitchen house received was recognized nationwide
on House and Garden Television’s “Interiors by Design.”
Additionally, Donaldson was a contributing editor for Charleston
Living and Home Design and owned a popular retail shop, Details
Details, in downtown Charleston. More recently, Donaldson was the
interior designer for the 2006 Southern Living Idea House on Daniel
Island, a project that brought national attention.

Jimmy Evans
Interior Designer
Sharing
office space with Margaret Donaldson Interiors, Jimmy Evans
creates traditional, yet eclectic interiors in the Charleston
area for new and long-standing clients. Jimmy’s professional
interior design career began in Cincinnati and spans more
than 50 years. He is known locally for his ability to find
forgotten antiques and breathe new life into them. Various
publications, such as Southern Accents and Traditional
Homes magazines, have featured his projects.
