Isle of
Palms
This elegant Isle of Palms dining room features a custom-made
table with an iron base which echoes the island’s flora.
Donaldson references the home’s beach setting with carved
palm trees on the chairs and a custom rug with shells in the
corners. |

Kiawah
Island
This bright and airy room is the perfect setting for family
breakfasts and sunset entertaining. The formal toile fabric
used for the window treatments is “dressed down”
with fun fringe border and wrought iron rods. |

Meeting
Street
A collection of French “farmhouse” furniture and
tableware are at home in this charming breakfast room. The brick
wall of this former carriage house serves as a nice backdrop
for the client's colorful antiques. |

Draperies were designed to create space for the ironwork that
is hung between the door and the molding. The chair back are
upholstered in a contrasting brown to create another point of
interest in the room. |

Dining Room
Donaldson uses the striking combination of gold and black peppered
with paprika to create a unique dining room. The overall circle
theme softens the brilliant colors – from the hand-painted
circles in the tray ceiling and round chandelier to the oval
table with its curved back chairs. |

Cherry red ultra suede cushions provide refreshing color to
the warm wood tones of this dining room. Bare wood floors and
straw accordion shades create a blank canvas, highlighting the
natural landscape. |

The room began with the painting and evolved into a unique space.
The round chandelier contrasts the coffered ceiling as the varying
woods in the room compliment one another. |
