Margaret Donaldson Wins Awards From The American Society of Interior Designers

CHARLESTON, SC (November 28, 2006) – The Carolinas Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) presented the “Media Award” to Margaret Donaldson, ASID, owner and principal designer of Margaret Donaldson Interiors (MDI). The award recognizes “outstanding professional significance with Chapter-wide impact.” The media award recipient is usually a member of the media.

This year Donaldson received the award based on the extensive attention she brought to the Carolinas ASID Chapter and its members through MDI’s exclusive interior design of the 2006 Southern Living Idea House at Daniel Island.

“We are so proud of Margaret and her work,” said Duvall Acker, president of the Carolinas Chapter of ASID. “I especially appreciated her professionalism coupled with her friendly accessibility, which I observed at the [2006 Southern Living] Idea House. With amazingly applied creativity, Margaret showcased the creative possibilities possible through ASID member designers.”

The Chapter also awarded Margaret Donaldson Interiors four of its 2006 Design Specialty Awards:

Merit Award in the category of Residence under 3500 sq. ft. for a home in Stono Ferry

Honor Award in Showhouse Category - Library, Meeting Street, 2005 CSOL/ASID Designer Showhouse

Merit Award in Showhouse Category - Master Suite, Murray Blvd, 2004 CSOL/ASID Designer Showhouse

Merit Award in the category of Furniture or Specialty Cabinetry for custom-designed vanities for a master bath.
